What does Special Events Committee Do?

The Special Events Committee is responsible for brainstorming, planning, and executing some of the more traditional marquee events for the student body, including the Annual Bonfire & Pep Rally, Fall Fest, Bigelow Bash, the Homecoming Laser and Fireworks Show, and more! We are the ones in charge of setting the events up, making sure they run smoothly and that everyone has a great time, and then taking them down. It’s an awesome way to meet new people and be a part of something really impressive.

What is your favorite book?

“The Martian” by Andy Weir

What is your favorite Pitt Program Council Event?

My favorite Pitt Program Council event is definitely Fall Fest. It’s the first big concert of the year, which means it’s also many students’ first experience with a full-scale Pitt concert. Getting to see everyone, especially new students, having such a great time at an event that my committee gets to organize is such an amazing feeling. The fall weather makes it even better.

What is a fun fact about yourself?

In addition to Pitt Program Council, I also sing in the Tenor II section of the Heinz Chapel Choir!
